We are a busy convenience store/café/takeaway in Waiau (North Canterbury) who require an experienced Assistant store manager to join our team.

The assistant manager will be responsible for assisting with the day to day operation of the store and to ensure sales targets and operational efficiency is achieved. You would be responsible for supervising and directing the work force and making staffing decisions. You would be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, product quality and the execution of all Company standards and policies which include operational, Health and Safety and Food Safety policies and procedures.

Required experience/skills:

Have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience, including at least 1 year as an assistant manager.

Relevant qualification in Business or Management.

Marketing, training skills, computer and organisational skills.

Excellent communication, leadership and motivational skills.

Customer service skills.

Committed to team, establishment and excellence.

Positive attitude, outgoing, friendly personality.

Ability to work competently under pressure.

Full driver license and clean police record required

Reliable and flexible to change.

Must live in region or be prepair to move immidaitly. 
Ensuring customers receive prompt service

Maintaining company standards for food safety, hygiene and health & safety

Developing a strong sustainable team by actively training and supervising front of house team

Assist with identifying, developing and maintaining establishment policies and procedures.

Provide leadership and improve efficiency by providing experience work
staff to increase the overall production.

Ensuring company goals of customer satisfaction and delivering quality product service are met

Driving the culture of exceptional customer service and operational excellence

Achieving revenue sales and cost targets

Assisting with advertising and promotions and formulating marketing strategies for the restaurant to generate more customers for the business.

Effectively manage the site in the absence of the Manager

Consistently monitor product and labour costs to remain within goals

Assist in new menu implementation

Set and maintain standards for food safety in receiving and storage area and kept clean and tidy

Purchasing and ordering stock.

Maintain records of stock levels and financial transactions.

Monitor shrinkage, under and overs.

Ensure health, safety, and licensing regulations and food hygiene regulations are followed.

Other duties as required
BenefitsThe pay rate for this role ranges from $20 to $26 depending on experiance. You will also need to be able to work on weekends, evenings and public holidays.
